TM30 Reporting

The TM30 reporting procedure is a Thai immigration requirement. The form is designed to assist keeping track of foreigners whilst they are in Thailand. It must be completed by the owner or landlord to report the stay of guests within 24 hours of their arrival.  For anyone staying in a hotel, the hotel will take care of this.

It is the landlord’s responsibility to register foreign renters or guests.  This can be done in person at the immigration office or online here: https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/

There is also a simple smartphone app simply called ‘Section 38’ in both the Apple and Android app stores.   This can be used in place of online TM30 reporting.

Note that foreigners are required to show proof of having been registered for TM30 if you are staying longterm in Thailand and have to do a 90 day report, renew a Non Immigrant visa or obtain a Certificate of Residence.

The requirement for TM30 reporting is not new.  It has been in place since 1979.  More details on TM30 reporting and residence notification
